The World Intellectual Property Organization defines Intellectual Property (IP) as the creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce. Following their description, there are different types of IP such as, Copyright which are the rights the creators have over their literary and artistic works, Patents, rights granted for an invention and trademarks, signs capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one enterprise from those of others.
